Microsoft issues emergency fix for Windows 11 shutdown bug

Microsoft has released an out-of-band update to address a critical bug in Windows 11 25H2 that prevented some PCs from shutting down properly. The issue, which also affected Remote Desktop connections, caused frustration for IT administrators worldwide.

The patch (KB5049876) is now available via Windows Update. Microsoft recommends all users install it immediately to ensure system stability and security.
